NOTIFICATION OF NEGATIVE DECLARATION: SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER, Log U552, City of Carlsbad
This project, the renovation of an existing structure to provide a Senior Citizens Center at 258 Beach Boulevard in the City of Carlsbad, has been
examined by the Environmental Review Board and it is found that the proposed
project will not have a significant environmental impact.
Reasons for this finding:
1. This project proposes no grading or alteration of the existipg
topography; therefore, no adverse impacts on the physical
environment are foreseen.

No new construction is proposed; therefore, CLjieTe will 3s no
significant growth-inducing impacts.
The majority'of the potential patrons of this center are in lower socio-economic brackets and many are handicapped. Because
most of these individuals are located in the Center City area
and do not possess automobiles, this project will not indirectly
generate significant amounts of motor vehicle emissions.
