SUBJECT: Modification of Conditional Use Permit 118
. It is requested that Conditional Use Permit 118, be appropri- ately modified to permit the occupancy of the Magee House by the Carlsbad Historical Society and the Parks and Recreation Department prior to the commencement of the public park and street improvements, and the development of an on-site park- ing lot.
’ The Historical Society has an immediate need for storage and display of antiques of the old Carlsbad era which could become lost or damaged if not cared for properly. In light of the near future renovation of the Harding Street Community Center
. and the possible loss of school facilities for in-door recre- ation activities and classes, it is necessary that the Parks and Recreation Department utilize its eleven designated spaces in the Magee House for recreational purposes.
