Thank you for applying for Land Use Pennits in the City of Carlsbad. The Planning Department
has reviewed your Conditional Use Pennit Amendment, application no. CUP 130(A), as to its
completeness for processing.
The application is incomplete, as submitted. Attached are two lists. The first list is information
which must be submitted to complete your application. All list items must be submitted simultaneouslv at the Communitv DeveloDment Buildinn counter and a CODY of this list must be
included with vow submittals. No processing of your application can occur until the application
is determined to be complete. The second list is issues of concern to staff. When all required
materials are submitted the City has 30 days to make a determination of completeness. If the
application is determined to be complete, processing for a decision on the application will be
initiated. In addition, please note that you have six months from the date the application was
initially filed, August 14, 1991, to either re-submit the application or submit the required
information. Failure to resubmit the application or to submit the materials necessary to determine
your application complete shall be deemed to constitute withdrawal of the application. If an
application is withdrawn or deemed withdrawn, a new application must be submitted.

LIS OF ITEMS NEEDED
TO COMPLETE APPLICATION:

PLANNING:
1. All plans must be labeled with the application number: "CUP 130(A)".
2. The plans (Sheet A-1) indicate that the Average Daily Trips generated is "Not
Relevant/Unchanged". While the number of trips may not change, the number must
be provided.
3. Indicate how many people are employed at the site currently and the number
proposed.
4. Landscape plan issues are indicated on the enclosed redlined checkprint of the
landscape plans. These include:
* Sheet L-1 should be clearly labeled "Additive Alternate 1 Plans" and
should include a description of that alternate.
* Sheet L-4 should be clearly labeled "Additive Alternate 2 Plans" and
should include a description of that alternate.
* Sheet L-5 and L-6 should be clearly labeled "Additive Alternate 3
Plans" and should include a description of that alternate.
* Changes are indicated to comply with the City's Landscape Guidelines
Manual.
* A note should be added to the plans to identify existing landscaping
areas and areas of possible "alternate" landscaping.
Redlined checkprints of the landscape plans are being provided for your use in making
changes/corrections. Please return these checkprints with future re-submittals to assist City
staff in our review of the project.

ISSUES OF CONCERN
PLANNING:
1. The curb detail (Sheet A-1) indicates asphalt curbing, but the existing curbing is
concrete. All curbing should be concrete.
2. Add a note on the plan stating that the visitor parking area (9 spaces) is not to be
used for service parking.
