Re: Brown Trucking C U P Application
Dear Commissioners :
As you are aware, Brown Trucking has applied for a C U P to
authorize their maintenance of a temporary mobile unit upon premises
they lease from South Coast Asphalt.
Brown's application was in response to Mr. Grimm's suggestion, as
contained in his letter of Nov. 22, 1977, a copy of which is attached.
In as much as South Coast was not a party to the application we were
not aware of the problems until we saw a copy of Mr. Rose's letter of
April 3, 1978. We immediately met with Brown Trucking as we were
concerned that their request might require the reopening of South
Coast's permit. Since we do not at this the desire to amend our
existing permit or to file a parcel map to split the property, we
told Mr. Brown that we could not comply with any such requests if
they were made of us by the City of Carlsbad.
Brown has assured us that his.mobile unit that is now at the inter-
section of Hayrnar Dr. and theplant entrance will be removed and
his application withdrawn.
