It has since been maintained by members of the local car
Members of the locd association have also gained recognition on sev-
eral occasions by volunteering their services to help with other com-
munity sponsored activities and have staged benefit meets to give aid
to some family or individual who was in need.

in the total recreational program of this area. At the same time it
has brought respect to this activity where at one time :t was looked
upon with considerable doubt and misgiving.
At the same time, I have no reason to believe thet the orr:anised drag
racing activities of this group have contributed anything to the over
all traffic enforcenent problems of this city.
The me-bers have held their meetings in the Police Building and there
is now a much better relationship between them and the police than
