A field check showed that children play in the driveway and the area directly in front of the garage. This places the play area approximately 6' - 8' from the Tuck's residence. On March 12, JoAnn Gaunche, Girl's Club Director, was contacted and reminded that CUP-150 states: "the Girl's Club will maintain an active noise control program ..." It was suggested to her to move the play area to the north of the garage. She agreed to this on a trial basis and use the space to the rear of the garage as an alternative. They will also try to make better use of the park across the street. The area included in CUP-150 encompasses 2 entire lots or 1.14 acres. The majority of this space is presently under cultivation with tomatoes in order to keep the area free of weeds. There is more than adequate space both to the north and to the east of the garage for children to play. The noise level was a major concern when the staff report was done and the CUP approved. Therefore, because there is space available, the situation would bear watching and if the noise level doesn't decrease, the matter should be returned to the Planning Commission. AML : ar 3/15/82
