This is to request the placement of a storage unit of approximately 1,200 to 1,400 square feet in the parking lot of our facility referenced above (see drawing delineating placement).
Our office consists of 10,490 sq.ft. on a lot size of two acres. The property is zoned Planned Industrial. There are
approximately 70 parking spaces provided on the site. The building houses telephone switching equipment to provide service to the Carlsbad area. There is a total of four employees maximum at any one time in the facility.
The storage unit will be used to store broken toys which are repaired by retired telephone employees known as the Telephone Pioneers. There will be one or two retirees on the site two to three times a week working on the toys. Most of the work is completed prior to Christmas. After the holidays the unit will be used mostly for storage.
