RE: CUP 154(D) - PACIFIC BELL
Dear Mr. Royce:
The Conditional Use Permit (1 54(D)) for the Pacific Bell Central Office located at 21 75 Camino
Vida Roble was approved by the Planning Commission as a ten year permit. Since phase one of
the project, removal of the modular buildings, has been completed, the permit has been exercised
and is valid for the ten-year period. Additional work as approved by the permit can be done at
any time within that timeframe. The City understands that the owner intends to proceed with
their development plans within the next three years. Any future proposals to modify the plans
must be reviewed by the Planning Department to determine conformance with the original
permit.
There were specific goals the City had with the extension of the Conditional Use Permit. One
was to have the concrete ditch along the westerly property line removed and replaced with a
vegetated swale. As you are aware, local
jurisdictions are required to comply with very stringent water quality measures. This
improvement was an important part of the NPDES requirement. There are other conditions that
will also need to be fulfilled prior to any other building or grading pemiit issuance. It is
encouraged that these conditions be met now to facilitate the issuance of building permits later
and to continue fulfilling the project conditions.
This was required for water quality concerns.
If you have any questions regarding the above, please feel free to contact me at (760) 602-4613.
Sincerely, -1
