RANCHO SANTA FE ROAD SUITE 100 SAN MARCOS, CALIFORNIA 92069 714/744-4800 May 18, 1984 Mr. Mike Howes CITY OF CARLSBAD PLANNING DEPARTMENT 1200 Elm Avenue Carlsbad, California 92008 RE: CP-176 MEADOW CREST, PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION 1862 (JOB NO. 7919) Dear Mike : In response to a request from our office as to the status of the above referenced condominium permit, you advised that it had expired when the tentative map for the Rancheros (CT-79- 25(B)) expired. We believe that this is not true, that the condominium permit, CP-176, is still valid. We would like your confirmation of this upon review of the following information: O CT 79-25(B) and CP-176 were approved by Resolution No. 6684 and 6685 on October 6, 1981. Planning Commission Resolution No. 1862 became the conditions of approval for the 116 Unit Condominiums. A final map was recorded on Meadow Crest October 20, 1981, Map No. 10243. In order to record this map, all the related conditions in Planning Commission Resolution No. 6684 and 1857 had to be met. O On October 24, 1983, a meeting was held with Bill Hofman to determine the status of CP-176. This permit had expired, but staff (Bill Hofman) felt they could support an extension of it. The basis of this support was that the condominium permit stood on its own. e r' Mr. Mike Howes May 18, 1984 Page two RE: CP-176 MEADOW CREST (JOB 7919) On December 6, 1983, CP-176 was extended for twelve months by City Council Action. It has been our opinion since this action that a valid condominium permit existed for the site. That the permit is unaffected by the status of the underlying Tentative Map (Rancheros) now expired. We would appreciate you reviewing the above and advising us if you concur with our under- standing. Please call if you have any questions.
