E t e / /- - CITY OF CARLSBAD APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR A variance application is required whenever an applicant desires a variance from the requirements of the zoning codes. A variance may be approved as an administrative act by either the Planning Commission or the Planning Director. A variance which can be approved by the Planning Director is known as an Administrative variance and is limited to the following: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
