Dear Mr. Edgemon:
We are very pleased to report to you that the City of Carlsbad
has authorized your organization to relocate the existing
trees that have been planted along Palomar Airport Road in the
public right-of-way alongside the new Olympic Golf Course
which are a problem for the District inasmuch as the trees have
been planted directly on top of our existing 16-inch high-
pressure pipeline. As we understand matters, you will be
permitted to relocate these existing trees onto private property
and the City of Carlsbad will permit the modification of their
"approved plans" so that this does not present a problem for
your development. All of this information was conveyed to us
by Ms. Adrian Landers of the City of Carlsbad Land Use Planning
Office by a telephone conference held on May 3, 1984.
Additionally, we have evaluated the site/landscape development plan for the improved section of Palomar Airport Road as well
as El Camino Real. We have been notified that all of the trees
will be located outside of the public right-of-way of both
Palomar Airport Road and El Camino Real. We appreciate your cooperation in submitting these plans to us for our review and in the event there are any questions in the field, you are
welcome to contact Mr. F.J. Whitley or the undersigned at this
office.
In the meantime, the development is also completing the new
onsite public water system facilities so that there will be
ample irrigation for all of the golf course area and the land-
scaping. We are looking forward to the completion of this job
