SUBJECT: SUN FAIRE, A FESTIVAL OF NATIONS
The Undersigned, through research of Carl sbad Municipal Codes,
bel ieves the following hol istc or futuristic special ties 1 isted in
the letter sent to Chief Jimno may be in violation of City Ordinance:
Accupressure - regul ated by City Ordinance 3096,
Massage Establishments and Massage Technicians; Section 5.16.010
Head, shoulder and hand massage - same as above.
Facials - same as #1
Shiatsu - a form of Oriental Massage will also be governed by
Section 5.16.010
Chiropractic - will have to be governed by State Laws.
Numerology, Tea Leaf Reading, Tarot Card Reading, Fortune
Telling, Astrology and Palm Reading - are prohibited as
stated in Section 8.20.010 M.C.
Exceptions are listed in Section 8.20.020 M.C. = .e -.-. The remainder of items listed in letter: Nutritional Counseling,
Health and Nutritional Products, Vitamins, Books and Tapes, Aura-
Balancing , Art and Dance therapy, Bio-feedback, Extra Sensory ; *
Perception and Bio-rhythm are not specifically referred to in the
Municipal Code.
