NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad will hold a
public hearing at the Council Chambers, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad, California, at
6:OO p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2003, to consider a request for a five-year extension to allow
the continued operation of an aquaculture facility in and adjacent to Agua Hedionda Lagoon
and the Encina Power Plant in the OS/PU Zone in Local Facilities Management Zone 1 and
more particularly described as:
All that portion of the Rancho Agua Hedionda, in the County of
San Diego, State of California, according to the Partition Map No.
823, filed in the Office of the County Recorder of San Diego
County, November 1, 1986, situated in that portion thereof
Those persons wishing to speak on this proposal are cordially invited to attend the public
hearing. Copies of the staff report will be available on and after July 10, 2003. If you have any
questions, please call Anne Hysong in the Planning Department at (760) 602-4622.
If you challenge the Conditional Use Permit extension in court, you may be limited to raising
only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in
written correspondence delivered to the City of Carlsbad at or prior to the public hearing.
