To continue operating the deli, it will be necessary for you to submit a payment to retroactively extend this CUP from May 20, 1997 through May 19, 2007. The delicatessen was originally approved in January 1983, and was operating under the approval of a CUP; however, the most recent approved use permit was granted for a period ending on May 20, 1997. Staff previously created an application and collected fees for a retroactive application that would have allowed the deli to operate from May 21, 1997 to May 20, 2002. A separate application is required to renew the CUP from May 21, 2002 to May 20, 2007. The CUP requires the property owner to request an extension of this permit. In order to begin the process, please send the following: • Written request for the extension; • Completed Disclosure Statement (enclosed); • Mailing Labels (instructions enclosed) and associated fees; and • A check for the Conditional Use Permit extension in the amount of $685. Send the required documents to: Mike Strong City of Carlsbad Planning Department 1635 Faraday Avenue Carlsbad, CA 92008 1635 Faraday Avenue • Carlsbad, CA 92008-7314 • (760) 602-4600 • FAX (760) 602-8559 • www.ci.carlsbad.ca.us CUP 224(A)x2 - JC DELI January 26, 2005 Page 2 Your request for an extension must be received before March 1, 2005.
