Such chaqes can only represent damages to all property mrs in the area who rea- pay the city taxes and strive diligently to improve their homes to make Carlshad liveable. I am swprised that the comission would even take so much time to make a decision in this matter. Only a small minority can possibly benefit from such an ill-advised project, while the vast majority of the solid citizens Buffer. Let us raise our sights and construct facilities which will be of long-lasting benefit to the area. Thanks for ycur attention to this important matter. Sincerely yours, u 1199 Tamarack Avenue Carlsbad, California June 6, 1965 Dr, Roy Palmateer, Member City Planning Commission 2497 Ocean Avenue Carls bad, California Dear Dr. Palmateer: Although I do not own property directly adjacent to the lagoon, I am highly interested in the proposed camping ,arounds near Fox's Landing, This proposed change cannot do anything but ham the adjacent property owners, and indirectly those fsrther away, There are many of us who have striven diligently to improve our properties and homes over the years, at great cost to ourselves. Too often the city officials, both elected an6 pppointed, have served the interests of every promoter and new arrival who hopes to make a fast buck without, regard for the effect on the solid citizens who have paid the bills lo these many years, I know you to be a fair-minded and thoughtful person. Consider ttppJ long-range rather than the short-range viewpoint in this matter, and I am sure you will see that the proposed changes are ill-advised, Thanks for your attention to this inportant matter, Aincerely yours, #wuvzzz Jack R.
