Re: Special Use
As we discussed, La Mesa W Center, Inc.-San Diego would like to conduct a
Special Event within the Carlsbad Car County area, namely, a W Show featur-
ing brand-new and a few used RV's which we would plan to sell during the show.
Our target start date will be July 28th through Sunday, August 14th. We would
plan to display and show approximately 80 to 100 vehicles at any given time.
Prior to our moving the show vehicles on to the lot (please note the attached
City of Carlsbad map), we would, at our expense, come in and mow down all the
weeds, back fill all the ruts caused by the recent rains to provide a display
area and enough off-street parking for approximately 75 customer vehicles.
We would not tie into any of the public utilities such as electricity, water,
or sewers, as our four office coaches are fully self-contained, but for public
convenience we would bring in a number of portable/temporary restrooms for men
and women both. There would be no need for lighting since the show hours would
be approximately 10:00 A.M. til dark from the start of the show to the end.
There are no curb cuts to allow easy access to the property. It is our desire
to use what we call "cold pack asphalt", which I'm sure your Public Works Dept.
used for temporary trenching, etc. This can easily be removed at the end of
the show,
I'm sure you will have additional questions, so please feel free to call me at
any time collect at.619-462-5660. Due to the urgency and timing of this event,
I am proceeding with obtaining a proper Carlsbad Business Permit.
Should there be a problem, please contact me immediately, as we are projecting
to spend $75,000 for advertising purposes and another $5,000-$10,000 for site
clean-up, which means beginning inmediately.
