The project is not compliant with the Solid Waste Facility Permit (SWIS #37-AH-0001), number 14, issued by the County of San Diego, Department of Environmental Health, which states that hazardous and medical waste is prohibited from being on site. Currently, Waste Management (sub-leases from Palomar Transfer Station, Inc.) has an electronic and medical waste drop-off area at the Transfer Station. In addition, the CUP (Resolution numbers 5799 & 5800) does not specify this use on site. Corrective action(s) to be taken: The CUP needs to be amended to allow this use. The owner is in the process of submitting an application to amend the CUP.
