SUBJECT : Application, for Conditional Use Permit for a
Post Office and Zone Change from R-3 to R-P.
REFERENCE: Your memorandum of June 3, 1968.
We have reviewed the subject request and offer the follow-
ing information for your consideration:
1. The existing cul-de-sac on Chestnut Avenue will be re-
constructed by the State Division of Highways during
the freeway reconstruction. It will be relocated West-
erly and will have a larger radius than the existing
cul-de-sac. Right of way has been obtained for the
portion of construction which encroaches on private
property .
2. The driveway locations shown on Chestnut Avenue are not
desirable. The most Westerly driveway is too near the
intersection. We recommend that the subject request be
conditioned upon approval of driveway locations by the
Engineering Department.
3. Street, sewer and water facilities for the subject use
are existing.
4. We recommend that ornamental street lights be required
on both Chestnut and Harding in accordance with City
