Re: CUP 42E - Carlsbad SkatePark
At present there is a skateboard/rollerskate and Alpine slide
facility operating under CUP (42E, 42F) on 14 Ac. at the Carlsbad Skate Park. CUP 42E and 42F coincide with CUP 42D
which applies to the entire 130 Ac. Carlsbad Raceway. All
CUP'S expire on April 25, 1982.
As pointed out in Condition #2 (42E), any change in plan requires review and approval by the Planning Director. Because of the changing philosophy toward skateboard activity, we are anticipating a plan modification. This modification will include elimination of some originally planned skateboard activities. In replacement, we propose an expanded roller- skating facility and water slide to coincide with the existing Alpine slide.
Our proposed activities are consistant with the "Youth Recreation Park" concept approved under CUP 42E and will not increase the existing approved level of activity.
We therefore, request Planning Director Review and approval of our proposed plan modification.
