Dear NIr. Apatep:
As stated in CUP 42E Condition C-9 we have been closing our skate- park 1 hour before sunset. It was our understanding that this time limit was imposed to assure that children walking and bicycling along Palomar Airport Road could be safely home before dark.
! have Since opening the first section on March 19 and until May 9 we had 3,016 skaters into our park. Of these only two boys who sweep up for us rides their bicycles occasionally from about 3/4 mile up
Linda Vista Road. On two Saturdays we have had two riders come out
from Carlsbad. There have been no walk ins that we know of.
/We therefore request your approval to install lights and operate after dark.
We have in hand the drive in movie type speakers which will replace the present horn type speaker and will contain the sound * within the
lighting.
Enclosed is a site plan showing the location and positioning of the proposed lights and a picture and specifications of the fixtures we
will use.

and integral patented socket "blocks" that conduct fiery lamp heat away from
lamp contacts. Fixtures are equipped with one-piece formed parabolic anodized
aluminum reflector with semi-specular surface for general purpose wide dis-
tribution. Specular reflectors for long-throw high intensity narrow beam also
available. Enclosed with silicone-gasketed heat-tempered lens permanently
sealed in cast aluminum lens frame with floating hinge and unique wedge-lock
closure to provide flat uniform weather-tight seal. Also available: aluminasilicate
lens assembly for above-horizontal aiming of 1500W units. All units are
equipped with adjustable '/2" arms with cast-in degree-marked vertical quad-
rant, serrated vibration-proof locking teeth and fully-enclosed wiring with ample
leads for splicing.
