We have received a copy of your letter dated May 18, t982, regarding the noise impact from Carlsbad 2aceway.
will be filed with any other. cornplaints regaraing the raceway
operations, and will be reviewed when the conditional use permit
allowing the raceway operations is .renewed.
Caslsbad Raceway is regulated through i: conditional. use perrrnj-t
which must be renewed every five,years. are not-considered to be a permanent use on the property, and considerable interest has been express4 to develop the property-
with industrial or commercial uses.
While we appreciate your concern regarding the noise impacts from
the raceway operations, the Environmental Impact Report for
.Rancho Carrillo has been certified by ,t-he Carlsbad City .Council, and noise was not identified as a significant adverse impact,
Also, the impact ‘of traffic related noise.leve-I-s on Melrose Avenue was evaluated, arid t7ith certain mitigation measures was
also not identified as a significant adverse impact.
