Subject: CUP 85(A)x1 and CUP(B) for
Pilgrim United Church of Christ
Dear Mr. Neilsen: First may I point out that you do not have to follow the
recommendation of the City Staff. Both you and the City
Council are at liberty to do whatever you think is fair on each individual case. The staff feels that Pilgrim Church
should build a six ft. block wall for our neighbor Mr.
Vallely. As you are aware Mr. Vallely moved into his present
home after the Pilgrim Children's Center was in operation.
In fact he was a supportive parent of the Children's Center when his child was in it. Presently his child and his €irst
wife are members of Pilgrim Church.
Mr. Vallely changed the configuration of his home, which he
has the right to do. We have not changed the size, shape or
use of the Children,~ Center. We see no reason why Pilgrim
Church should now be required to build Mr. Vallely a six ft.
high block wall.
We request that the Planning Commission approve the CUPS as
recommended by your staff WITHOUT the condition of building
a six ft. wall. Thank you for your consideration.
