COMMENTS ON PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING OFJULY 2,1997
The following are my comments with regard to the three items on the Planning
Commission agenda for July 2, 1997 (DCC Meeting, June 23, 1997):
1. Pilgrim United Church of Christ CUPS
A. The staff report does not state what categories of use set forth in Chapter
are being allowed by these conditional use permits, particularly the single-family

the parking and other requirements.
B. What are the parking requirements for each use for each CUP?
C. When we amend/extend conditional use permits, do we require compliance

2. Camino Encanto Street Name Change (SNC 97-01)
The street name change appears to be covered by CEQA Regs section 1531 1 (the
construction of Minor Structures Accessory to Existing Facilities, including signs)
(assuming the streets, but not the signs, have been constructed); and section
15301(g), providing an exemption for new copy on existing signs does not appear
applicable if the signs do not yet exist.
3. Beckman Properties (PCDIGPC 97-01)
Please have the staff report set forth what General Plan Designation exists currently
for the 26 acres proposed to be purchased, so there is a factual basis in the record for
making a finding that the proposed use(s) can be seen to be consistent with that
General Plan Land Use Map Designation.
Please advise what other items, if any, will be going forward to the Planning
Commission at its July 2, 1997 meeting, in addition to those discussed above.
