SUBECT: CUP 85(B) - PILGRIM CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH
This is to inform you that the items previously requested to make your Conditional Use
Permit application no. CUP 85(B), complete have been received and reviewed by the
Planning Department. It has been determined that the application is now complete for
processing. Although the initial processing of your application may have already begun,
the technical acceptance date is acknowledged by the date of this communication.
A major issue has been identified which could result in the Planning Department’s
recommendation for denial of the proposed church expansion. The expansion of the church
facility to the adjacent residential parcel is contrary to the required finding specified in the
Resolution approving CUP 85(A) stating that the site is adequate in size and shape to
accommodate the use. There is adequate area on the existing approved site to expand the
church facility to accommodate the additional meeting room needs described; therefore,
further encroachment into the surrounding R-1 single family neighborhood cannot be
supported by the Planning Department at this time.
