^NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to you, because your In-'^terest may be affected, that the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad will hold a public hearing at the
Council Chambers, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad, California, at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, to consider the following:
1) CDP 13-20 - WALLACE RESIDENCE - Request for approval
of a Coastal Development Permit to allow for the demolition of an existing single-family home, detached garage and storage
shed, and the construction of a new 2,565 square foot single-family residence with attached two-car garage on a .29 acre lot
located at 3935 Syme Drive, within the Mello II Segment of the Local Coastal Program and within Local Facilities Manage-
ment Zone 1. The City Planner has determined that the proiect belongs to a class of proiects that the State Secretary for Re-
sources has found do not have a significant impact on the envi-ronment, and it is therefore categorically exempt from the re-
quirement forthe preparation of environmental documents pur-sJuant to Sections 15301, demolition of a single family residence
dnd other small structures, and 15303, construction of a single fbmily residence, of the state CEQA Guidelines.
This proiect is not located within the appealable area of the Cali-fornia Coastal Commission.
2) Dl 13-01 - ALTERNATIVE DESIGN STREETS - Discussion of the Street and Sidewalk Policy Committee final report, dated February 23, 2000 and a determination by the Planning Commis-sion of whether to request that the City Council consider changes to the policies and regulations effecting alternative de-sign streets.
If you challenge these proiects in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the pub-
lic hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Carlsbad at or prior to the public hear-ing.
Copies of the environmental documents are available at the Planning Division at 1635 Faraday Avenue during regular busi-
ness hours from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00am to5:00 pm Friday.
