HomeMy WebLinkAboutEA 15-09; 6608 NW Quadrant Storm Drain Program; Administrative Permits (ADMIN)DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSAL-Describe the project in as much detail as possible. Use as much space as needed. Attach additional sheets (drawings, etc.) if necessary. Be sure to identify, if applicable, estimated quantities of grading (including import/export), construction staging areas on and offsite, areas of sensitive vegetation, unique construction technologies, proposed facility technologies and byproducts, and any public art component. If preliminary or conceptual plans or exhibits are available, please include two sets with this transmittal. Construct approximately 550 linear feet of new 30-inch reinforced concrete pipeline in the same location as the existing undersized storm drain pipeline to alleviate flooding during storm event. Install two new curb inlets and upgrade two undersized curb inlets to meet current standards. Remove and replace existing damaged curb, gutter and sidewalk. Raise manhole to grade and install one new and replace one existing storm drain cleanout. The EGL drops due to friction (assumed Manning's of 0.012), and solved for velocity and Qat depth of flow on the 'Circular' sheet (attached). AECOf\11 plugged in the flow into the 'Pipe Losses' sheet, and used a Hazen-Williams friction of 120. The head loss cates to 1.33 feet for a 570ft pipe (total length of pipe from start to end). So for EGL, starting at the right at the rim of the manhole, the toss will be 1.33 feet at the left end, 570ft away. The HGL is calc'd with velocity equal to 4.43 ft/s, the HGL is EGL minus 0.30 ft. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~*+~~~~ FLOW 14.069 mgd i 5.134 mgd 12.829 mgd 7.035 mgd 0.00 in i4.069 mgd #DI\//0! in Sutface Material Coefficient .., n - Asbestos cement 0.011 Asphait 0.016 Brass 0.011 Brickwork 0.015 Cast-iron, new 0.012 Clay tile 0.014 Concrete -steel forms 0.01 i Concrete -finished 0.012 Concrete -wooden forms 0.015 Concrete -centrifugally spun 0.013 Copper 0.011 Corrugated metal 0.022 Earth 0.025 Earth channel -clean 0.022 Earth channel -gravelly 0.025 Earth channel -weedy 0.030 Earth channel -stony, cobbles 0.035 Floodplains -pasture, farmland 0.035 Floodplains -light brush 0.050 Floodplains -heavy brush 0.075 Floodplains -trees 0.150 Galvanized iron 0.016 Glass 0.010 Gravel 0.029 Lead 0.011 Masonry 0.025 Metal -corrugated 0.022 Natural streams -clean and straight 0.030 Natural streams -major rivers 0.035 Natural streams -sluggish with deep pools 0.040 Plastic 0.009 Polyethylene PE -Corrugated with smooth inner walls 0.009 -0.015 Polyethylene PE -Corrugated with corrugated inner walls 0.018-0.025 Polyvinyl Chloride PVC - with smooth inner walls 0.009 -0.011 Steel -Coal-tar enamel 0.010 Steel -smooth 0.012 Steel -New unlined 0.011 Steel -Riveted 0.019 Wood -planed 0.012 Wood -unplaned 0.013
