0 BATIQUITOS FORCE MAIN REPAIR
The project proposes the replacement of an existing 12" sewer force main with a new
14" force main in the same alignment and depth. Construction of the proposed
facilities is detailed on City of Carlsbad Drawing No. 306-5. These plans propose
replacement of approximately 1550 feet of pipe in two portions. The first portion,
1214 feet in length will be in or immediately adjacent to the existing paved access
road known as Lagoon Lane. The remaining portion of 336 feet climbs up the hill
between Lagoon Lane and the south end of the Seacliff subdivision.
All construction is to occur within an existing 20 foot wide general utilities easement.
No native vegetation in this area will be disturbed by the pro o truction. The
easement vegetation is highly disturbed was removed in corinec i t the
installation of the original force m n. It has been regularly kept clear of t
easement for maintenance of the sting facilities.
