Meeting Minutes from the Green Valley Master Plan Meeting Held On
December 21, 1993
Dear Mr. Wood:
After reviewing the meeting minutes you produced after our December 21,
1994 meeting on the Green Valley Master Plan, Terri Stewart'and I wanted to make one correction regarding the proposed bridges across Encinitas Creek. Your conclusion #1 states that the proposed 36 foot clear span bridge -system was accepted as a minimum for the crossing. It is our recollection that no conclusion was reached on that issue. P&D and the City of Carlsbad were to explore how much wider an underpass could be constructed by building a conventional bridge at a feasible cost. While we have not ruled out the proposed bridge plans, we are still concerned about the bottleneck effect these two proposed creek crossings will have on wildlife movements through this regionally significant wildlife corridor. We concur with the other conclusions you have listed in your meeting minutes.
