RE: GREEN VALLEY MASER PLAN MP 92-01 :)
Dear Tom:
As you are aware, original discussions with Coastal Commission staff lead us to believe that
a Local Coastal Program Amendment was not necessary for MP 92-01. However, recent
contact with Bill Ponder has changed that direction.
I must request at this time that you submit a Local Coastal Program Amendment
application. Because the amendment involves a change to the General Plan Land Use
Element, the amendment will be considered MAJOR. The determination of MAJOR has
been made by the Coastal Commission office. I can consider a change to MINOR if there
is concurrence from Coastal Commission staff.
In order to reduce processing time the application should be submitted to go forward with
the Master Plan for the City of Carlsbad public hearings.
Attached are the appropriate forms.
