PUBLJC NOTICE OF PREPARATCON
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE:
The Planning Department of the City of Carlsbad intends to prepare an Environmental
Impact Report for the following project:
Project Description: Request for approval of a Master Plan, Local Facilities Management
Plan, Hillside Development Permit and Special Use Permit for a 281
acre parcel of land located south of La Costa Avenue and west of El
Camino Real which proposes 600,000 square feet of commercial retail
space, 400 multi-family dwelling units and the extension of Levante
Street and future Calle Barcelona west of El Camino Real.

We need to know your ideas about the effect this project might have on the environment
and your suggestions for ways the project could be revised to reduce or avoid any
significant environmental damage. Your ideas will help us decide what issues to analyze
in the environmental review of this project.
Your comments on the environmental impact of the proposed project may be submitted in
writing to the Planning Department, 2075 Las Palmas Drive, Carlsbad, California 92009,
no later than April 25, 1993.
