7. Explain why the proposed Land Use Designation is more appropriate.
This -requested change in the"Jity's plan would permit applicants
to develop t1aeir properties consistent with the fact they are
located directly across the street fr m the City ad strative
offices,_.police_ department, _library _and _large _parking _lot.
The City of Cailsbad Planning Department would appreciate the opportunity
to work with the applicant throughout the Planning Stages of the pro-
posed development. In an effort to aid the applicant, the Planning
Department requests that it be given an opportunity to evaluate and
discuss t116 application and plans prior to submittal. This request .1 s
not a requirement; however, it may avoid major redrafting or revision
of the plan which only serves to lengthen the processing tine
