Per your request we have reviewed the September 2!jth decision of the
Engineering Standards Variance application. Dave Hauser, The Assistant City
Engineer, and Bob Wojcik, The Principal Engineer of Land Use Review
Division have both visited the site and have concluded that a minimum of 5’
behind the proposed curb is required for dedication. The right of way required
should accommodate 18’ half street and 5’ parkway. The decision of the
Engineering Department is supported by the need for parking as well as the
need to provide adequate shoulder area as a buffer from sloughing or erosion
of the proposed slope.
