SUBJECT: TAYLORMADE GOLF
APN: 21 2-1 30-01, 02, 05, and 06
In addition to the comments of the attached letter dated September 9, 1996, the
following comments are offered with regard to the TaylorMade proposal at the above
location:
1. As mentioned to Bill Dettenborn, the proposed TaylorMade location is within the
Palomar Airport Influence Area and is required to be reviewed by the San Diego
Association of Governments prior to the issuance of building permits by the
City. Contact should be made with Jack Koerper, Special Projects, SANDAG,
1 St Interstate Plaza, 401 B Street, Suite 800, San Diego, CA 921 01.
The following conditions will be included as mitigation measures required with the
Mitigated Negative Declaration issued for this project subsequent to the processing of
an Environmental Impact Assessment:
1. Prior to approval of a building permit for this project, the owner of the subject
property shall execute an agreement holding the City harmless regarding
personal injury and property damage resulting from the use of the test facility.
2. The golf test facility shall be restricted to supervised testing by robots and
qualified testers. The facility shall not be available for private or public
recreational use.
3. Prior to approval of a building permit the developer shall mitigate the interior
noise levels of the golf testing facility to 50 CNEL per the requirements of the
McClellan-Palomar Airport Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
4. Prior to the issuance of building permits the owner of record of the property
shall prepare and record a notice (see attached) that this property is subject to
overflight, sight, and sound of aircraft operating from Palomar Airport. The
notice shall be prepared in a manner meeting the approval of the Planning
Director and the City Attorney.
