Subsequent to our last conversation, Taylor Made Golf has conducted several computer simulated tests as well as an on-site test of the potential landing areas for golf balls on the proposed Test Range. Taylor Made has determined that a 10 foot high chain link fence along Salk Avenue coupled with the relocation of Salk Avenue, as indicated on the attached plan, will be adequate to allow for the safe use of the Test Range and still allow for 1,365 feet from center line of Salk Avenue to center line of El Camino Real. The relocation of the street, by approximately 82 feet to the north, will allow for approximately 180 feet of "buffer zone" between the range and Salk Avenue. The site section indicates a proposed 12 foot high berm along Salk Avenue which will assist in keeping balls out of the street as well as provide a natural security screen for the Range. Dee, we appreciate your review of this plan and will be happy to answer any questions you may have or will meet with you at your convenience. Sincerely, Dennie Smith, AIA President DS/mpd 5355 Mira Sorrento Place Suite 750 San Diego, California 92121 (619) 452-3188 Fax (619) 452-3907
