DEAR MR. HUBBS:
ON BEHALF OF OUR CLIENTS, MR. & MRS. JOHN BARBOUR, WE ARE REQUESTING A
DRIVEWAY GRADIENT OF 14%.
VARIANCE TO YOUR STANDARD DRAWING NO. GS-15, REGARDING THE MAXIMUM
WE ARE PROPOSING A 16.5% GRADE ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE DRIVEWAY AND A
20% GRADE ON THE SOUTH SIDE. THE AVERAGE GRADE WOULD BE 18.25%.
BY GOING TO A 14% GRADE, WE WOULD HAVE TO SUBSTANTIALLY LOWER THE BUILDING PAD AND EXPORT MORE DIRT. WE FEEL THAT OUR DESIGN IS COMPARABLE
TO THE OTHER HOMES IN THE AREA.
