PUBLIC NOTICE
TO INTERESTED PARTIES:
Please be advised that the City of Carlsbad is considering an amendment to its Local Coastal
Program (LCP) Land Use Plan as summarized below. This amendment is being proposed by the
City of Carlsbad and is currently under review. This notice hereby opens a six-week review
period after which the Planning Commission and City Council will consider all comments and
act on the proposed amendment. The Planning Commission hearing is expected to take place in
January 2004 and will be duly noticed. The City Council hearing is expected to take place in
February or March 2004 and will be duly noticed.
PROPOSED LCP AMENDMENT SUMMARY
LCPA 01-07 - Vigilucci’s Seafood and Steakhouse
The proposed Local Coastal Program Amendment (LCPA) to revise the Local Coastal Land Use
Plan is necessary to provide consistency between the City of Carlsbad’s General Plan Map and
Local Coastal Land Use Plan. This specific LCPA to revise the Land Use Plan consists of the
following:
A change of the LCP Land Use Plan designation on property at 3878 Carlsbad
Boulevard (APN 204-253-20) fiom Residential High Density (RH) to
TraveVRecreation Commercial (T-R). The project also involves an identical
proposed change of the property’s General Plan land use designation (GPA 01-
04). Vigilucci’s Seafood and Steakhouse restaurant is currently on the property.
The restaurant use is not proposed to change.
