Re: City of Carlsbad LCP Amendment #1-04 A-F (Vigilucci' s Seafood et al)
Dear Mr. Munoz:
This letter is regarding the City of Carlsbad LCP Amendment #1-04 A-F. On June 25,2004 the
City submitted information responding to our April 30,2004 letter asking for more information.
The following is additional information we need for the submittal to be filed complete and set for
Commission hearing.
LCPA #1-04B (Kirgis)
1. Full scale copy of the approved tentative map with 25% slope analysis and biological
survey.
LCPA #1-04C (Cannon Lift Station)
1. Site Plan with topographic elevations and including existing development on entire
parceVplanning area.
2. Explanation of the relationship between the development and surrounding open space and
development.
LCPA #1-04E (pure Fitness)
1. l"E Parking Study and data.
Although this is not a filing requirement, we noticed that the City found no coastal
development permit was required to approve outdoor dining area to an existing restaurant at
Vigilucci's Seafood. The LCP requires a coastal development permit for any improvement which
changes the intensity of use of a structure. Pursuant to this requirement, it appears the proposal to
include outdoor dining should require a coastal development permit.
Based on submittal of the above requested information, we will determine if any additional
information is necessary to complete the submittal.
