HomeMy WebLinkAboutLCPA 02-05; Smith Property Land Use Change; Local Coastal Program Amendment (LCPA) (13)x - WLkd Ca~~Lop3 City of Carlsbad June 16,2003 Caroline Smith 6452 Avenida Manana La Jolla, CA 92037 RE: COASTAL COMMISSION APPROVAL OF LCPA 02-05 Dear Mrs. Smith: ‘This letter is to inform you that on June 12, 2003 the California Coastal Commission voted unanimously to approve the City of Carlsbad’s request for a Local Coastal Program Amendment (LCPA 02-05) to change the land use and zoning designations on your property located at the southeast corner of Poinsettia Lane and Interstate 5 in the City of Carlsbad (APN 214-471-53). As a result of the Coastal Commission’s approval of LCPA 02-05, and pursuant to the City Council’s approval of GPA 02-02, ZCA 02-03 and LCPA 02-05 on December 17, 2003, the land use designation on your property has been changed from N (Neighborhood Commercial) to RM (Residential Medium Density 4-8 du/acre). The zoning designation has been changed from C-l- Q (Neighborhood CommerciaVQualified Overlay Zone) to RD-M-Q (Residential Density- Multiple/Qualified Overlay Zone). Also, the site has been removed from the Visitor Serving Overlay Zone. When the City receives formal notification from the Coastal Commission of their approval on June 12, 2003 of LCPA 02-05, a copy will be forwarded to you.
