CA 92009-4859 TELEPHONE (619) 438-1161 PLANNING DEPARTMENT August 10, 1988 PUBLIC NOTICE TO INTERESTED PARTIES: Please be advised that the City of Carlsbad is considering a minor technical amendment the Mello I1 segment of its Local Coastal Program (LCP) as summarized below. This notice hereby opens a six-week review period after which the City Council will consider all comments and act on the proposed amendments. The City Council LCP Amendment hearing is expected to take place in the fall of 1988 and will be duly noticed. Copies of the proposed LCP Amendments are available for review at the following locations. Main Library City Hall 1200 Elm Avenue Carl sbad City Clerk City Hall 1200 Elm Avenue Carl sbad La Costa Branch Library Developmental Services 7750 'M' El Camino Real Counter Carl sbad 2075 Las Palmas Drive Carlsbad, CA 92009 PROPOSED LCP AMENDMENT SUmARY Carlsbad's Mello I1 LCP segment is being proposed for a minor technical amendment. The area of amendment is located northwest of the intersection of El Camino Real and Alga Road. As shown on the attached Exhibit "A" the amendment has two parts. The first part is a minor adjustment to the C-2- Q Commercial Zoning Boundary. The C-2-Q area is slightly expanded on the west and reduced on the north. The second part of the amendment is a change in zoning directly west and north of the commercial area. The proposed change for the western area is from an existing RD-M - Residential Density - Pub1 i c Notice August 10, 1988 Pase Two Multiple and LC - Limited Control - to a proposed RP-Q - Residential Professional - with a "Q" overlay. The "Q" overlay requires approval of a detai 1 ed si te devel opment pl an prior to devel opment . The proposed change in the northern area is from an existing LC - Limited Control - to a proposed RDM-Q -Residential Density Multiple with a "Q" overlay. The proposed minor technical amendment is consistent with and implements the land uses and subsequent zoning boundaries planned by Carlsbad's General Plan and adopted Local Coastal Program.
