TO INTERESTED PARTIES
Please be advised that the City of Carlsbad is considering a map and text amendment to the Mello
I, MeUo 11, and East Batiquitos Lagoon/Hunt Properties Segments of its Local Coastal Program
(LCP) as summarized below. This notice hereby opens a six-week review period after which the City Council will consider all comments and act on the proposed amendment. The City Council LCP
Amendment hearing is expected to take place in January, 1994 and will be duly noticed.

PROPOSED LCP AMENDMENT SUMMARY
AVIARA PHASE m - mA 92-01
The proposed LCP Amendment will alter only that portion of the segments covering the third phase
of the Aviara Master Plan and will slightly modify planning area boundaries, residential product
mix, and internal street alignment. The Aviara Master Plan is the implementing ordinance for the
Local Coastal Program segments covering the master plan area, therefore any amendment to the
master plan map or text requires a Local Coastal Plan Amendment.
