Project Description: An amendment to all of the City's six Local Coastal Program segments to add a
new land use policy which would allow residential density increases above the
maximum residential densities permitted by the City's Local Coastal Program
segments to enable the development of lower-income affordable housing.
This is to advise that the City of Carlsbad has approved the above described project on January 11, 1994
and itas made the following determinations regarding the above described project.

The project will not have a significant effect on the environment.
The environmental effects of this project were reviewed previously under the Negative
Declaration for GPA 92-08 which was prepared pursuant to the provisions of CEQA.
Mitigation measures were not made a condition of the approval of the project.
A statement of Overriding Considerations was not adopted for this project
Findings were made pursuant to the provisions of CEQA.
