The Planning Department has determined that the environmental effects of the project
described below have already been considered in conjunction with previously certified
environmental documents and, therefore, no additional environmental review will be
required and a notice of determination will be filed.
Project Title: LCPA 93-02 - Residential Density Increases - Affordable Housing
Project Location: City of Carlsbad - All residentially designated properties located within
the coastal zone.
Project Description: An amendment to all of the Ciws Local Coastal Program (LCP)
segments to add a new land use policy which would allow residential
density increases above the maxim= residential densities permitted
by the LCP segments to enable the development of lower-income
affordable housing.
Justification for this determination is on file in the Planning Department, Community
Development, 2075 Las Palmas Drive, Carlsbad, California 92009. Comments from the
public are invited. Please submit comments in writing to the Planning Department within
ten (10) days of date of publication.
