i\JOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Cornmission of the City of Carlsbad will hold
a public hearing at the Council Chambers, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad,
California, at 6:OO p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 1993, to consider recommending
approval of an amendment to all of the City's six Local Coastal Program segments to add
a new land use policy which would allow residential density increases above the maximum
residential densities permitted by the City's Local Coastal Program segments to enable the
development of lower-income affordable housing.
Those persons wishing to speak on this proposal are cordially invited to attend the public
hearing. Copies of the staff report will be available on and after October 13,1993. If you
have any questions, please call Chris DeCerbo in the Planning Department at 438-1161,
ext. 4445.
If you challenge the Local Coastal Plan Amendment in court, you may be limited to raising
only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice
or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Carlsbad at or prior to the public
hearing.
