HomeMy WebLinkAboutLCPA 95-02; Laurel Tree Apartments; Local Coastal Program Amendment (LCPA) (9)PUBLIC NOTICE TO INTERESTED PARTIES: Please be advised that the City of Carlsbad is considering a map amendment to the Mello II Segment of its Local Coastal Program (LCP) as summarized below. This notice hereby opens a six-week review period after which the Planning Commission and City Council will consider all comments and act on the proposed amendment. The Planning Commission hearing is expected to take place in July 1995, and will be followed by a City Council hearing. Both hearings will be duly noticed. Copies of the proposed LCP Amendment are available for review at the Planning Department, 2075 Las Palmas Drive, Carlsbad, CA 92009. PROPOSED LCP AMENDMENT SUMMARY LAUREL TREE APARTMNIS - LCPA 95-02 The subject 12.2 acre Laurel Tree property (see attacbmeat) is designated for Ma and Related Commercial (0) development on the City's General Plan and the Mello 11 Local Coastal Program segment land use map. The property is currently zoned for ofjlia (0) use. In order to enable the development of 138 apartment units (aBodable housing) on the property, a General Plan Amendment (GPA), Zane Change (ZC) and Local CoastaI Program Amendment (LCPA) is proposed to redesignate the property &om O&e and Related Commercial (0) to Residential High (RH 15-23 dU/ac), ad to rezone the property for Office (0) to Residential Density Multiple Zone with a -ed Development Overlay (RDM-Q).
