HomeMy WebLinkAboutLCPA 95-11; Western Pacific/Planning Area 5; Local Coastal Program Amendment (LCPA) (10)PUBLIC NOTICE TO INTERESTED PARTIES: Please be advised that the City of Carlsbad is considering an amendment to its Local Coastal Program (LCP) as summarized below. The proposed amendment was submitted by a project applicant and is presently under review. This notice hereby opens a six-week review period after which the City Council will consider all comments and act on the proposed amendment. The Planning Commission hearing is expected to take place in mid-November 1995 and will be duly noticed. The City Council hearing is expected to take place mid to late December 1995 and will be duly noticed. PROPOSED LCP AMENDMENT SUMMARY LCPA 95-11 - AVIARA PLANNING AREA 5 The City’s Zoning Ordinance is the implementing ordinance for the City’s Local Coastal Program. Within the Aviara Master Plan, the implementing ordinance, as required and allowed by the Zoning Ordinance, is the Aviara Master Plan. PA 5 is the subject of an amendment currently being processed in the City which will change an existing approval of 147 multi-family units. to 131 detached, clustered single family units. A condominium permit is required as well as amendments to the existing tentative map, master plan and local coastal program. The proposed LCP Amendment is necessary to ensure consistency between the City’s Zoning Ordinance, General Plan and Local Coastal Program.
