The above referenced project received City Council approval on December 19, 1995.
Since an amendment to the applicable Local Coastal Program is involved, LCPA 95-1 1
must be submitted to the Coastal Commission by the City of Carlsbad. As discussed
with you some weeks ago, the City will be coordinating and batching several pending
LCP amendment applications, including the PA 5 project.
This letter is to inform you that the PA 5 project is included in the first batch of City
submitted LCP amendments for 1996. This first batch is scheduled to be submitted
during the week of January 24, 1996. Standard Coastal Commission processing of the
LCP amendments will then take place.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for the package of
information/regulations that you assembled for me relative to the clustered single family
product type. It is a valuable source of information for City staff to continue further study
and assessment of this evolving product type and its potential for the City of Carlsbad.
