CITY OF CARLSBAD
PLANNING DEPT.
I made a brier nconnatwrnce visic to she Bucqcr ,ProPerry in thc City of Carfsbad's Zon. : 20 parcel
43 on 17 June 1999. The rite is located immediately east of Bhck Rail Rord ti Few bun Ired yards
north of A& Parkway.
During thc htc recpnnaibsancc, I was sblc to identify only &tee M~~VC plant species: to notebnrsb.
(Bmhar&phlliris), deemed (.husuopariur) and laurel numac (iI4dwmut larrrina). The rial Ive plants
are present 3 veryhv numbers (ksr than 15 indivividud coyo~buah, 20 or 10 deerweec ~ and one
laurel sumat+ sll o€ which are scatrered throughout the property and would not be ma Jped as a
native bbmt type. The balance of the plant species ptwrnt okdite an non-native spec: ?s and/or
ornamema! eptics. Theentire rite would be mapped either as either *Moped" (it., gee houses),
"agticultural''~ (Le., cultivated flower fields)), "ornamental" (ie., exotic horticultural p anthgs),
'dtral' @e., dominated by weds but not non-native gasses), and *&sturbed habitat" i.e., bare
soWdrartd akeas, or areas with very low vegetative cover]. In this case, the bue/dcarcd a 'US were
being cicarcd of ornamental apecies such as bud of paradisc (Stretiruir rrpinrerc).
Dudek & Ass 'rirtes, Inc. sees no namn to prepare a bidogica1 study or suxvcy report for this site.
