Rachel,
Attached is the City Council Policy #64 - Wireless Communication Facilities. Please
review on Page 5 under Design Guidelines. Number 1 talks about Stealth Design. The
city requires wireless facilities to be as stealth as possible depending on the technology
that is available at the time of the application or renewal. Today's technology allows cell
antennas to be placed behind RF transparent panels, which completely hides the
antennas from public view. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hello Pam -
Can you please send me a copy of the wireless ordinance? Can you also
reference the spot that stated that the wireless sites must be screened?
Thanks

Rachel,
In order for this CUP to be a minor and not have to go to the Planning
Commission is if the design is stealth - according to the newest technology
out there today. The boxes would hide the antenna but the boxes would be
seen and therefore not stealth. There may not be a landlord since the
building is empty but you should have the owner of the building signing the
(07/18/2007) Ram Drew-RErSprintNexyi^Eclison Place ~'.''.."."" , 3^711 1 1! I 1"." Pa9e 2
application not the landlord. So far there is no penalty, but we do need to
have a valid permit for the antennas. Please let me know when a redesign is
ready to be submitted.

Hello Pam -
Ok, a quick question for you, would the city accept the face mounted stealth
boxes for the redesign - these boxes are a good solution to hiding antenna
without having to completely redesign the site. The other issue we have here
is that we need to get our modifications approved with out Landlord on this
site. So before we can submit any possible redesigned drawings, we will have
to have an agreement with the landlord.
Please know that we are working on this site and that these things take
time. Will the city penalize Sprint even if we have filed for the renewal?
Thanks

Hi Rachel,
Just checking in for an update on the minor CUP permit for the existing cell
site on Edison Place. The original CUP permit expires this Sunday. I don't
want there to be a big gap in between the old one expiring and the new
permit taking effect. The only issue seemed to be the new design of the
antennas to hide them within the parapet walls. Please let me know the
progress.
Thank you,

Hello Pam -
I am still waiting for an approval from Sprint to get redesigned dwgs. I am
not sure how soon I will get it, these things usually take a while. All you
need is a new design and then you will approve it? Pending the design is
acceptable of course. Do you need a set of full size dwgs? Or what will you
need exactly.
Thanks, Rachel

STEALTH Materials Guide
STEALTH Concealment Solutions, Inc. uses the most innovative materials and design methods to balance
cost effectiveness, structural integrity, RF transparency, and cosmetic appeal.
The majority of STEALTH'S designs employ three major components:
• Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP)
• Structural Steel
• StealthSkin™ V Panels
FRP
• FRP is generally used in conjunction with steel in
the design of antenna screening enclosures.
• Usually steel columns and kickers are behind the
antennas.
• FRP connections must be bolted.
• FRP angles or wide-flange beams act as
horizontal girts at the top and bottom of the
panels, creating a mounting surface for the panel.
• FRP is less detrimental to the antenna's signal
than steel, but should not be placed in the direct
path of the RF pattern.
FRP Specifications are available upon request.
Structural Steel
• Galvanized steel is frequently used for structural support of antenna screening enclosures.
• Specifically used when the structural members are behind or away from the antenna's signal.
• Steel is inexpensive and easily accessible.
Office: 800-755-0689
Web: www.stealthsite.com
StealthSkin™ V Panels
These panels were the first RF transparent panels ever designed and trademarked in the wireless
industry. The StealthSkin ™ V panels have been custom designed and tested for each particular
frequency range. The RF transparency of a given panel at a particular frequency is also affected by
surface treatment (stucco, brick, etc) as well as incidence angle.
Panel Benefits
STEALTH'S panel construction uses a plastic
foam composite geometry that enables the
panels to:
• Be very strong
• Maintain RF signal integrity
• Be easily fabricated
These panels are available in:
• Flat
• Corner
• Radius
• Fire Rated
The following table details what panel is best for your application and the standard sizes in which the
panels are stocked. Please call for availability.

StealthSkin™ V Corner and Radius Panels
When corner and radius panels are needed for concealment, STEALTH'S panels are factory fabricated
to the required angle or radius. For a standard corner panel, each horizontal leg of the "corner panel"
is half of the overall width of the original sized panel. Standard corner panels are bent to 60 or 90
degrees per the application. In addition, panels can be factory fabricated to any required angle for
any type of application.
*STEALTH corner panels
were used on all four
sides of this penthouse
extension.
