Description/Explanation: P-1(B) Page 1 of 1 Revised 07/10 Project Description P-l [B] Project Name; Pacific Motion Dance Center Applicant Name; Wendy Lemon Moore Pacific Motion Dance Center will hold afterschool, evening and weekend classes in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop dance, as well as master classes in world cultural dances such as African dance, Boll)m/ood and belly-dancing. Students will range from age 18 months to adult, with most falling between the ages of 7 - 14 years. Pacific Motion Dance Center serves families in the Bressi Ranch and surrounding Carlsbad area and other San Diego residents who currently commute to the area for schooling. Pacific Motion Dance Center will host 20 hour-long dance classes per week to 200 students, with approximately 10 students in each class. Most traffic to the dance studio will be pick-up or drop-off only between the weekday hours of 4-8pm and Saturday hours of 9am-12pm. Students at Pacific Motion Dance Center may refine their technique to that of an elite-level dancer or pursue dance purely as a recreational creative outlet Pacific Motion Dance Center is also dedicated to servicing the community by performing at local senior living centers, Head Start preschools, holiday celebrations, and charitable events.
