SUBJECT: Rancho Carrillo draft Master Plan and Environ-
mental Impact Report.
Transmitted herewith are copies of the Rancho Carrillo draft
Master Plan document and Environmental Impact Report. Your
review of these documents, and submittal of written comments
is requested by February 13, 1981.
A brief explanation of these documents follows:
1. Rancho Carrillo Draft Master Plan; This document
proposes an amended Master Plan for the 846 acre
Carrillo Ranch property. Generally, the document
proposes 2998 dwelling units, and additional land uses
including commercial, industrial, public and private
recreation uses, a school site and city park. This
document addresses the requirements of the Planned ,
Community (PC) Zone Ordinance, and will provide for all
development standards, zoning requirements, and develop-
ment procedures on the ranch property. The document
you have received is a presubmittal draft, it does not
represent a formal application to the city. Questions
regarding the Master Plan should be addressed to
Patrick Tessier in the Planning Department.
2- Rancho Carrillo Draft Environmental Impact Report;
This document represents the screen check draft.
Following the receipt and resolution of comments on the
document, a final draft report will be written for
public review and submittal to the Carlsbad Planning
Commission and City Council. Additional information is
included in a rather lengthly appendices document. I
have not included this because of bulk, but copies are
available upon request. Question regarding the Environ-
mental Report should be directed to Joyce Crosthwaite,
in the Planning Department.
I appreciate your assistance in this matter and apologize
for the length of the material under review. Please contact
either myself or Joyce Crosthwaite if there are any questions
regarding this matter.
